Securitatea sistemelor de calcul
Computer Systems Security
From threat models to incident response, with every mechanism built and broken in code.

About
A course-length treatment of computer systems security that starts with risk and threat modeling (STRIDE, DREAD, attack trees) and works through cryptography, public-key infrastructure, authentication, and the security of networks, applications, databases, and cloud and container platforms, ending with incident response, digital forensics, and compliance under GDPR, NIS2, DORA, and the AI Act.
Each chapter pairs theory with hands-on C#/.NET exercises backed by a verified companion repository, and one thread builds a working honeypot over six sessions. Written for third-year Computer Science students and for practitioners who want to understand how an attack works, not just what it is called.

Reviews
“Securitatea sistemelor de calcul fills a real gap in the Romanian-language technical literature. The reader is given a unified presentation of the field, one that starts from fundamental principles and reaches all the way to current professional practice.”
“In my opinion, the book's main merit is that it presents computer systems security as a set of interdependent problems. […] At the same time, the constant link between theory and practical applications gives the work real usefulness in training future engineers.”
